Isfairamsai
The 387sq km Isfairamsai licence is located immediately south of the Tolubay licence in the Kyrgyz Republic.
In July 2007 the Company reported the discovery of the Shambesai prospect on the Isfairamsai licence, located 7km south of Perseus’s Obdilla deposit. In October 2007 soil sampling defined an anomaly averaging 2,200ppb (2.2g/t) Au over 1,000m strike length, with the core zone averaging 4,500ppb (4.5g/t) Au over 700m strike length.
Trenching and rock chip sampling commenced in October 2007. Early results and current results have been highly encouraging with significant high grade intercepts.
The Shambesai prospect is located on the same litho logical contact as Obdilla, where it is exposed at surface by thrusting. Stratigraphy, alteration and degree of brecciation at Shambesai are similar to Obdilla.
Results to date are highly encouraging and Manas plans to mobilise at least one more diamond drill rig to site to progress drilling. Access to Shambesai is relatively easy and the prospect is able to be explored all year round.
