Maly Naryn
The 154.6sq km Maly Naryn licence is located in the Jtim Range in the central eastern portion of the Kyrgyz Republic, 30km NE of the city of Naryn and 130km west of the Kumtor gold mine.
The Maly Naryn project is located within an under-explored belt of highly prospective Vendian carbonaceous shales of the middle Tien Shan domain. The distribution of extensive placer gold and auriferous rock chip samples strongly suggests that primary gold mineralisation is derived from carbonaceous shales within the eastern portion of the project area and have been remobilized during large scale alteration associated with the Permo-Carboniferous intrusives.
A 12 sq km area of interest, which comprises extensively altered carbonaceous shale and limestone with a number of Permo-Carboniferous instructive granitoids, has been identified from soil and rock chip sampling. Gold and other metals appear to be enriched in the skarn and hornfel contact zones, however limited sampling of the granitoids and soil sampling suggest the intrusive is also auriferous. The area is highly prospective for high-grade exocontact and low-grade porphyry style copper-gold mineralisation.
